Time for the Christmas Concert

We just got home from the kids Christmas Concert.  And it is cold out.  We were told to go for Sunday best so we figured that meant a tux.  And if you have one you might as well get as much wear out of it as you can.  Jayden all spiffed up and ready to go.

Now it was time for the big kids.

 The big production.  The gr 6 class is the ones that do all the acting so this was Taylor's year.  The other kids were in the choir.

My Baby is Growing up

Today Jayden came up to us as he was eating an apple and this is what he had to tell us.

 Hey we even got you a blood shot.

 So last weekend we had Doug's family over to celebrate Shaun's birthday and this is all we got.  He was more interested in playing with Uncle Shawn than the sparklers that were going off on his apple crisp.  And when you are carrying a hot dish with sparklers sometimes this is all you get.

Thursday Shaun and I went to the orchestra.  It was fun and he really enjoyed the day.

A Little Field Trip

So we got notice that a home school group was doing a field trip to the Reynolds museum, I decided that I would pull the kids from school to go because it looked interesting.  So Wednesday we got up and headed to Wetaskiwin.

 We took a pancake making class where the kids learned about wheat and how they harvested it by hand.  They got to try it and then we went and made pancakes.  Threshing and sifting.

 Taylor and Elyssa went off and took a kites and crashes class as well.  They had to decide iif inventions would crash or fly.  Then they went off to make a kite.

 We then went to the airplane hangar and they got to climb in a helicopter and learn how it works.

 And an airplane too.

 Yes Taylor was there.  It was a homeschool function and she just went off with different kids so her pictures are limited.  Hey Taylor I would be careful with Jayden driving that car.

 This was probably the boys favorite thing of all.  They spent a lot of time in it.

We had a great day and hopefully there will be more field trips for us all to go on again.
