A Little Choppy Time

So what do you do when your kid can't get a brush through their hair.  It gets cut so here is Taylor now.

 Then of course you get the next kid complaining that she wants a short hair cut so here is Elyssa today

Summer Continues

This past Friday, I took the kids to Calaway Park.  Jayden was super excited because he got to go on more big kids rides.  And some that he had to go on with a parent before he was able to go alone.  Here is everyone waiting for the Cosmic Spin.  Jayden's first time on the ride.

 The girls wanted some craft to do a long time ago so I suggested a latch hook kit so off to Michael's we went.  Elyssa finally finished hers today.  She is the first one done.  Shaun wanted one too so a few months ago I found one for him but he needs a lot of help so we don't work on it very often, he also has to be in the right mood.

And this is the front.  Now we just have to decide what we are going to make with it.  Off to Michaels today to get her next project.  She is going to learn how to cross stitch.

Summer Happenings

This past Friday we went to an author talk that was put on by the library.  We saw Carolyn Fischer. She asked for a volunteer so that she could do a sketch of them.  Most kids wanted to do it so she ended up picking by the person who was last to have a birthday and it was Elyssa.  So in about 15 min she did this sketch of Elyssa

Yesterday we went to the Stampede.  Taylor had been given the opportunity through 4H to get tickets to the rodeo.  We asked if no one else wanted their thickets if we could get more and we were able to.  So  off we went.

 Doug getting everyone on the horse. And did you notice that we are all dressed for summer in our coats, long pants and long sleeve shirts.  It was rainy too and cool.  When we left to come home the van said that it was 11 degrees.

 There was a tank that Elyssa wanted to go into so we waited and the kids got to climb on top and then into it.

 Then we went into the agriculture building and there was a cow squeeze so the boys went in.

 Then they had a scale that you could go on.  Keisha is 61 lbs

 Jayden 47lbs

 Taylor 111lbs

 Elyssa clocked in at 61lbs

And can you guess what Shaun weighed in at yep 61lbs.  So we have 3 kids at 61lbs.
