One day this week Shaun and I spent out school time with me learning how to drive a tractor and spreading manure.
Tractors have a lot of levers to deal with. We did leave with full load and come back empty so I think we did ok.
On Friday the school board that we are with North Star Academy put on an activity day. I was able to take all the kids and they had a blast. There were lots of people there. The kids were split up under 10 and above 10, so I sent Taylor off and tried to get a few shots of her.
The other kids started with roping and pony rides.
Elyssa was a little disappointed that she did not get to go on the trail ride but guess this is better than nothing and a cool way to spend a PA Day.

Hey I found Taylor, she was playing games. Hey notice that everyone is in long sleeve shirts and coats, except my Taylor.
Then we were off to archery
Keisha figuring it out with the help from Dan the instructor. Compare what he is wearing to Taylor and I am not sure that they should be in the same area.
Jayden waiting for the range to open
Hey look at the position that he is in, looking good
Elyssa trying it out.
Getting some tips from her new friend.
Shaun's turn
Taylor still doing some games.
Taylor is on the far right
Inside playing some games, trying to warm up a little
Taylor getting set up with 'Kite'
The other 4 playing field games.
All in all it was a very cool, crisp, fun fall day. It was neat to meet more homeschoolers.

A Farmers Work is Never Done
Doug took Taylor and Elyssa out to do some chores tonight. The other kids are in bed because we have had a lot of late nights and it has caught up to them
Elyssa picking up some hay from some bales that split.
I did not realize where Taylor was and then I saw movement in the back of the Rustler (the favorite farm vehicle) and alas she was sleeping on the job.
See Doug and Elyssa working and Taylor still sleeping.
This is the view from our deck on noncloudy days you can see the mountains. They are usually really clear at sunset. Yes I am becoming more of a farmers wife with line drying clothes.

A Couple New Pictures
Tuesday I was the parent helper at Jayden's class. It was a lovely day of sitting on a little chair cutting paper and more paper. Here is a shot from lunch break.
Yesterday was our fist homeschool gym class for Shaun. He was really excited and then when we got there he did not want to play. His teacher came over and talked to him and got a pinny and a flag and then he was not too sure again but then he went over. They were doing flag football. One mom said that her younger kid was on the field so another mom went and asked if her son and Jayden could play too. The teacher allowed it so the boys had a ball. Jayden is counting down the time til next weeks class so that he can play and I got to meet some new moms which was neat.

Jayden's first day
So on Wednesday Jayden's teacher came for a visit. I have always driven for the first day of school. Jayden's teacher was asking if I was going to bring Jayden up to school and Jayden pipes in and says no I am going on the bus. So his first day of school I dropped him off at the bus stop in parking lot at the arena. I am the parent helper on Tuesday so I will take some pictures there.
Ready to go
Taylor guiding him onto the bus
Now hiding on the bus. He had the biggest smile and was waving before this shot.

First Day of school
Today is the first day of school and I guess the first official day of homeschooling. We have already been working on stuff with Shaun.
First Day with Buster on our new deck
Elyssa grade 4, Taylor grade 6, Keisha Grade 2. Some sisterly love
Keisha at her desk putting on her shoes as I take a picture and she says wait
I tell her to smile because the last picture I took was not so great.
Taylor hiding behind all her gear.
Elyssa at her desk in grade 4
Boys working on their school work. The world map that is beside the boys is one of our geography projects, we are tracking where people are from that buy goats from us
We will get some more on Thursday when Jayden starts.
