Taylor and I decided that we wanted to try geocaching and we decided that we would do it when Grandma is here. So we found one that was close to the house so we plopped the coordinates into the GPS and we were off. We walked and walked and finally found the general area and the GPS said that we were 4meters away and then it went up to 8meters so we started looking and we ended up finding nothing so we came back empty handed and Doug just laughed at us. We then went for slushies and drove where we had walked. WE did a total of 5km (a big walk for Jay) and when we were clocking it we found someone else on the side of the road and then checked the website and they had found it. So we went to find another one a bigger one this time. We got as close as we could drive and started walking in the bush and the bugs were horrible, we were swarmed. So we left and came home only to tell Doug that we had seen a bear and we had to come back. He is thinking that this whole thing is a little silly. We then found a listing for another one out by the kids school but we had a hint this time so we went and Elyssa found it. YEAH. Here we are with our first geocache.

I have driven by this sign almost every day 4 times a day and had no clue that there was a geocache there.
After seeing that truck parked at the side of the road we went back to the first geocache that we found and we started looking again. We found it. Off to find the next one.
Grandma found #3
Jay found himself right in the middle of a patch of thistles. Ouch!
#4 was a little deadly for Elyssa. We had a hint to look low and she was looking low and poked her eye and ended up with a little scratch by her eye.
Seeing what treasures were in #4.
Never say "don't you dare" to a kid with a camera because your picture will be taken.
There was a trade show in town in the spring and Doug went to it and came home with a 'Twirl Go-Round' but because we did not have and grass we kept it in the box til yesterday. The kids have to push and pull with their hands and legs to make it spin.
This is how Jay wears his glasses, and when I look in my rear view mirror in the car I quite often see him bopping along to the music wearing his glasses like this
