This year for Christmas was an adventure. My brother and sister were both going to Ontario and we went too. It was quite the trip, one that we are still talking about. We drove with 5 kids in a minivan. Yes, we drove. We left on the Friday the 16th after school. We made it into Saskatchewan. The next day we got up and went to cross the border. It was interesting, we got pulled over. The last time we went all we had to have was a travel letter and this time it was not enough. I have since heard from a few friends that the crossing we were at was a tough one. There were many people waiting in the office with us. We ended up losing about an hour but they finally let us go. We got to mom' s Monday evening. All in all the kids did really well. It was a learning process for us as well. We did learn that the boys are not likely to fall asleep when the tv is on (oh yeah Doug mounted a tv in the van for the kids to watch), movies are much better than tv shows and you have to move seats around to keep everyone happy and not fighting. On the Monday we got to see/meet my brother, Steve and his daughter Elliana (2 years old). We went to a play place with Steve and Elliana.

When Uncle Steve was in the ball pit he forgot to empty his pockets and he lost a loonie and a twonie, so Elyssa was looking for his treasures

I had to get in on the action too. Could not let Steve have all the fun.
