Elyssa wanted to get a shot of the sunset so here it is.
Putting ladder ball together because......
The frisbee ended up in the tree and they had to get it down somehow.
There was a park to play at
and animals to pet.
And a merry go round that they have a bucket set up for the kids to try and throw their shoes in and if they land in the bucket they get to have a free ride.
Then the part that we will never forget.
We had some rain the night before and I texted Doug to get the weather report for this day and he said that there was a 10% chance of rain. Not a bad day at all if you think about it. Hot and should be sunny, well it started to rain a bit at breakfast. It started as the kids were eating breakfast. so we ate quick.
It was the mad dash to get as much breakfast in you as fast as possible and get back in the tent. I was glad that we were just having cereal for breakfast that morning.
Getting a little wetter.
Girls done, boys well breakfast moved to under the tailgate of the van. Once they were done we piled in the tent and waited and played a couple card games, then the water came into the tent and we had to get mopping it up. We threw everything in the middle of the tent and waited. We ended up waiting for 2 hours and then we went up to the restaurant and had some cinnamon buns, which were super yummy. Then what to do next. We went mini golfing at the campsite.
Learning the finer skills in life
Ummm Jayden wrong sport. It is golf not hockey
We finished golfing just before noon and while we were in golfing the rain finally stopped. We ended up having to mop up all the water from the puddles that we got and we had to dry 1 sleeping bag. I have since learned to throw a tarp (which I had in the van) over the tent. Guess it is live and learn and make some memories. We did go to the beach while camping.
