A Little Fun on Easter with Shaun

 Then Shaun decided that he wanted to look like Uncle Shawn and have the same hair so introducing Shaun's new haircut.  We were also practicing hair for Auntie Merry's wedding.  Is this a good look or what.

Recital and Carnival

In the last couple weeks Taylor has had a voice recital and then she was in the Kiwanis Festival.  She sang 'God Made Me' and 'The Bear Necessities'.  Here are some pictures of her recital.

 The Boys were is skating this year.  This past Sunday they put on a carnival and this is them dressed up.  They skated to 'All that Jazz'

A Happy Day

Yesterday was my baby's 5th birthday.  Some of us thought that he should just go back to being 3 but he decided that he will be 5 now.  With all our food intolerances I thought that I will finally give this gluten free cake thing a try, well and if Jayden was going to turn 5 I might as well have some cake.The thing with gluten free is that the flours you have to buy  many different kinds and use a bit of each of them so it is time consuming.  So not only did we have a gluten free cake it also needed to be vegan.  So I began into this not sure that it was going to turn out at all and we started mixing it up and it started to look like a cake batter which was nice.  I was also on a time crunch so it had to work because I did not have time to do it again.  I am happy to say that I took it out of the pan too early and I melted my coconut oil for the icing, the cake was great.  Most of the kids just preferred to not know what it was they were eating but they liked it too.  Does not look that pretty but here we are blowing out the candles.

A Sad Day

We wet down to the ranch to do some work with DJ Moo and it was all going well 

And then he went a little rangy and he died.  So it turned out to be a pretty tough day.  Taylor went on her farm tour with her 4H group and then she decided that she is going to show another girls cow for the mock show for our club and then she is going to show it again for something else.   

Not your average trip to the ranch.

Doug just sent me these pictures of Shaun at the ranch today.  Apparently he got to ride a horse.

To think that this was the boy that was terrified of all animals 2 1/2 years ago.  To the point that dogs could not be in the same room as him.
